Sonadi, since its inception has always been providing services for rescue and rehabilitation of sick, diseased, abandoned and injured animals. However bad an injury maybe, every animal is given a chance to live at Sonadi.
Sonadi operates 2 vans to pick animals in distress. The vans are sent in response to calls by concerned citizens who report animals suffering from disease, accident cases or are being ill treated in any way.
Animals have been dumped in garbage bins by their owners, full term pregnant dogs have been abandoned, people being transferred to other cities tie their dogs outside the house and just desert them, dog injured in road accident is abandoned due to cost of treatment by owner etc. Sonadi has innumerable heartfelt stories of such animals to share with you. But the Hearts and Doors at Sonadi are always open for them . . .

M was found injured by Anjali, a concerned dog lover who brought him to Sonadi. M was very badly injured and it took more than six months for his wounds to heal. M’s rear legs are totally dysfunctional. Sonadi developed a walking aid for M and now he virtually runs with it. Anjali comes to Sonadi every evening without fail and takes M out for his evening walk. She also brings for him his evening meal. The other dogs at Mrs. Sen’s house have learnt to blackmail her into getting them the same also. Anjali feeds over 80 dogs in Nehru Place area every day.
Pippi was found in a garbage bin by Sonadi staff. Though she is suffering from cancer, she is very friendly and loves to play around with Atul, whenever he manages to find time from his work at Sonadi.

Ashu, the big black ferocious looking dog who is in fact all the time looking to play with kids was tied and left outside Sonadi gate and found early one morning deserted by his owners loaded with thousands of maggots.
Golu, the fairer of the donkeys was rescued from Dwarka. He was an infant, barely a few days old, trying to suck milk from a dead mother.
